🔧 Position Details

Role: Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

Pay Rate:

  • $20–$22 per hour
  • Shift differential may apply for off-hours

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on production needs

📋 Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor production lines for compliance with GMPs, HACCP plans, and food-safety procedures
  • Verify critical control points (CCPs), including cooking, cooling, and handling of ready-to-eat products
  • Conduct in-process quality checks for weight, temperature, labeling, packaging, and overall product quality
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Perform required testing, including temperature verification, metal detection, and package-integrity checks
  • Hold and release products according to established quality standards
  • Complete quality records, logs, and HACCP documentation accurately
  • Maintain full traceability of products and materials
  • Support compliance with USDA, SQF, and internal SOP requirements
  • Identify, document, and escalate food-safety or quality deviations
  • Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis
  • Place products on hold when necessary and communicate with production leadership
  • Verify sanitation standards, equipment cleanliness, and employee hygiene practices
  • Support environmental and operational monitoring programs
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain quality and food-safety standards
  • Support internal and external audits as needed

📋 Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing preferred, ideally in a USDA-regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food-safety principles
  • SQF or GFSI experience preferred
  • English required
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in hot and cold production environments
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
