Every release you ship reaches hundreds of thousands of people across 190 countries, migrants calling home, travellers managing emergencies, families staying connected across borders. For these users, a dropped call or a crash isn’t a UX inconvenience. It’s a broken connection to someone who matters.
The craft challenge here is real: our users are often on older devices, with limited data, in places where connectivity itself is unreliable. Making the app work beautifully in those conditions, fast, stable, trustworthy, is the work. And it never stops.
We’re in a consequential moment. Talk360 has hit profitability, launched embedded calling with our first B2B2C partners, and is building toward becoming the world’s most trusted calling app. The Android platform sits at the centre of all of it. We’re looking for someone hungry to own that, who raises the bar without being asked to.
Responsibilities

Own and evolve the Talk360 Android app, used by hundreds of thousands of people across 190 countries

Build and ship features that matter: embedded calling integrations, Auto Top-Up, payment improvements, authentication flows, call quality tooling
- →
Ensure the app performs reliably on low-end devices and in limited-connectivity conditions, this is non-negotiable for our user base

Experiment with AI tooling to improve your own development speed and quality, we’re actively building an AI-first engineering culture

Investigate and resolve bugs using real-world reports and call quality monitoring data

Work directly from user research findings and Play Store feedback to inform what gets built and how
- →
Contribute to sprint planning, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making
You’ll be working alongside Igor (iOS Mobile Lead) and Tom (Tech Lead), who together lead the mobile and engineering direction. The wider tech team you’ll collaborate with includes Michal & Feyi (QA), Alex (Backend), Isah (Frontend), Oleg (Full Stack), and Yahaya (VoIP). On the product side, you’ll work closely with Pedro and Kseniia.
Talk360 is a lean company, around 30 people globally, which means you’ll interact regularly across functions: ops, support, data, and marketing. That cross-functional visibility is one of the things that makes the work here interesting and your impact visible.
Must have:
Kotlin
Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (comfortable working with shared business logic across platforms)
Jetpack Compose (and familiarity with XML-based UI)
Android Studio
Git
Actively using AI in your development workflow and QA
Nice to have:
Swift / iOS development, the app team is small and cross-platform awareness is genuinely valued
Experience with VoIP or calling infrastructure
Familiarity with analytics and monitoring platforms (Mixpanel, Zabbix or similar)
A self-starter: you see what needs doing and move toward it without needing a brief
Growth-minded: you’re not looking to maintain a codebase, you want to improve it, and yourself alongside it
Deeply invested in user experience and reliability, you understand that for our users, app quality is the difference between connecting with someone or not
Comfortable with & passionate about complexity: real-world edge cases, legacy code, low-bandwidth environments
A strong communicator in English, written and verbal, in a distributed team spanning time zones
Experienced enough to bring a perspective into architecture discussions and hold your ground on technical trade-offs
