Taurus is a FINMA-regulated securities firm, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, providing digital asset trading and financial services to its clients. It is also a leading European provider of digital asset infrastructure solutions to banks, corporations and private companies. Using blockchain technology, the Taurus platform covers cryptocurrencies, tokenized securities, tokenized assets (such as NFTs), digital currencies, and stable coins.
As Taurus has grown into a multi-entity group with subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Group Financial Controller and Risk Manager.
We are looking for ambitious and driven individuals to support our fast global growth.
Reporting to the CFO/CRO, you will produce accurate group-level financial information, ensure regulatory reporting, and protect the integrity of the company’s risk profile as we scale internationally.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage financial accounting and reporting; ensure proper bookkeeping including client accounts
- Manage management accounting and reporting; monitor performance
- Own and manage the end-to-end group consolidation process across all Taurus subsidiaries: produce consolidated financial information
- Coordinate with subsidiaries’ accounting firms to ensure the timely elimination of intragroup transactions
- Liaise with external auditors on group consolidation and statutory accounts
- Take charge of regulatory reporting, in particular capital adequacy, risk repartition, liquidity rules and FINMA/SNB statistics
- Monitor the risk profile of the company across market risk, operational risk, credit/counterparty risk and liquidity risk
- Perform regular risk controls and reports, including market surveillance controls for the organized trading facility
- Perform due diligence on correspondent banks, trading venues and digital assets
- Lead, coordinate with other key control functions, and present the regular risk control self-assessment (RCSA) process
- Participate in the improvement and implementation of the operational risk framework and ensure its adequacy
- Coordinate ISAE audit
- Define and execute thematic risk reviews
Requirements
~1 min read- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is a strong asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or finance
- Deep knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA) and financial reporting standards (Swiss GAAP)
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and capital adequacy rules
- Exposure to digital assets or blockchain-based financial products is a strong asset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Fluency in English and French is required.
