The Medical Office Associate performs a variety of clinical activities, under direction of a Physician or Registered Nurse, and administrative and clerical duties to support the effective and efficient operations of the Clinic.
* Highs School Graduate or GED
* Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Licensed by New York State Department of Education
* Successful completion of a course in billing - HIGHLY PREFERRED
*Direct patient care experience
* Previous experience in and knowledge of clinic operations, patient registration/scheduling
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
* Must speak English proficiently. Legible handwriting
* Moderate to strong data processing, computer and typing skills. Computer data entry
* Ability to meet public, communicate clearly on the telephone, interact with patients, staff and other hospital departments
* Ability to document and retrieve information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Location & Eligibility
