Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Lead day-to-day clinical operations by managing and overseeing the clinical, administrative, and human resource activities of designated clinical areas, including providing 24-hour leadership availability and oversight.
- Champion clinical excellence by partnering with staff, medical, and unit leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate, patient- and family-centered care. Use data, trends, and performance insights to identify opportunities and develop meaningful action plans.
- Build strong clinical partnerships with the Medical Director and healthcare provider teams to promote cohesive communication, collaboration, and alignment across the department.
- Provide thoughtful fiscal stewardship through the effective management and justification of resources, including staffing, equipment, supplies, and capital expenditures.
- Foster collaboration across teams and disciplines, bringing together diverse perspectives and professional expertise to achieve shared clinical and organizational goals.
- Advance quality and patient outcomes by engaging staff in the Quality Outcomes Program and/or unit-based quality initiatives and supporting the development, measurement, and monitoring of exemplary clinical outcomes.
- Develop and empower your team by investing in the ongoing professional growth of department leaders and staff and creating opportunities to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals.

Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of management and/or leadership experience
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees required, with at least one degree in Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or a healthcare-related field; OR Bachelor’s degree in a non-Nursing field with a Master’s degree in Nursing
Required Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid Nursing Licensure Compact license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Magnet-recognized professional certification required within one year of entering the role and must be maintained throughout employment
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of Oncology experience
- Pediatric Oncology experience
- CPHON certification
