Manager, Operations (West Branch)

This is a full-time ; REMOTE position and can be based out of one of the following locations: Washington ( WA ) , Oregon ( OR ),
- Manage the assigned budget, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, and financial goal achievement.
- Provide leadership and team management by supervising, mentoring and developing assigned staff by setting clear goals and expectations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Evaluate individual staff and team performance and make decisions to improve staff performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Execute purchasing and expenses per the Branch budget plan.
- Assist with planning and budgeting in line with operational tempo and oversee procurement and distribution of supplies and equipment.
- Support personnel recruitment, deployment, and well-being in all aspects of the disaster cycle, managing schedules and work rotations.
- Assist in developing QCPC team goals, provide specific feedback, and solicit regular input.
- Support Volunteer Management in resolving personnel conflicts.
- Participate in Participation Status Committees as needed.
- Lead the leadership lifecycle program, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing Greyshirt volunteer leaders.
- Support department needs during surges to address operational gaps.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers.
- Lead capacity-building efforts, local relationship growth, disaster operations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate across the department as needed to meet goals and objectives.
- Organize and participate in training and simulations for disaster response teams.
- Coordinate/manage disaster response operations, including resource and personnel deployment.
- Coordinate with volunteer organizations and partners to maximize resources.
- Function as an Agency Executive.
- As needed, provide EOC support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration or related field preferred
- Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers
- Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders
- Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired
Requirements
