Location: This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the DC/MD/VA area.

Responsibilities

The Senior Instructional Designer / Consultant will be a core member of a dynamic team responsible for the comprehensive modernization of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) training curriculum. You will lead "Training Consultation for Program Revision"; analyze the 125 existing courses; collaborate with SMEs to modernize pedagogy; and design the overall curriculum blueprint.

Minimum Experience: 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or Curriculum.
Experience revising high-volume curriculums (prior work with >40 courses preferred).
Expert grasp of modern learning models, gamiﬁcation, and AI-assisted instruction.
Consultation experience for potential legal content.
Experience in classroom learning environments and consultation on classroom technology requirements.
Working in a Government contracting environment experience requested.
Recent USPTO and Patent program experience preferred.
