ASP.NET Developer, Mid-Level
Quick Summary
Oklahoma City, OK (onsite) · Contract-to-hire,
Tech Partners is recruiting for a client in Oklahoma City that designs and builds engineered reeling, spooling, coiling, and winding equipment for wire and cable, fiber optics, data centers, energy, marine, and defense. They run two facilities, employ more than 200 people, and bring decades of application engineering to every machine. New ownership since late 2025 is putting money into automation, engineering, production capacity, and digital processes on the shop floor. That last part is where you come in.
A custom-engineering manufacturer runs on information moving cleanly between sales, engineering, production, and field service. You will build and maintain the internal web applications that make that happen. The software you write supports machines that get built, tested, and shipped to real customers, and the people using your tools sit down the hall. You will see the impact of your work in days, not quarters.
Responsibilities
~1 min readIn your first 30 days, you learn the applications, the data behind them, and the people who depend on them, and you ship your first fix or enhancement to production.
By 90 days, you own features end to end. You take a request from a user, figure out what they actually need, build it in ASP.NET and SQL Server, deploy it to the company's on-prem environment, and support it after it goes live.
By conversion, you are the developer people seek out when a process is broken, or a report does not add up. You have improved at least one piece of older code and left it easier for the next person to work in.
Three to six years building production web applications in C# and ASP.NET, whether MVC, Web API, or modern .NET. You write your own SQL against SQL Server, including stored procedures and queries that perform well, and you can read an execution plan when something slows down. You are comfortable on the front end with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You use Git daily and have deployed to IIS on Windows Server, not only to the cloud.
Just as important, you can sit with a production supervisor or an engineer, ask good questions, and turn a vague complaint into a working solution.
Nice to Have
~1 min readExperience in manufacturing or industrial environments. ERP integration work. Entity Framework, Blazor, React, or Angular. SSRS or Power BI reporting. Exposure to shop floor or machine data. Time spent modernizing legacy WebForms or .NET Framework apps.
Someone who wants to keep learning and does not need a 40-person engineering org to feel challenged. You like knowing how the business makes money. You fix the root cause instead of the symptom. When you do not know something, you go find out, and you tell people what you learned.
On-site in southwest Oklahoma City. Contract-to-hire with conversion targeted between three and six months. Salary upon conversion: $70K to $115K depending on experience.
