About the Role
~1 min read- Legacy systems have completed migration from on-premises hosting to Azure (as of May 2024)
- The member-facing portal was modernized in July 2025
- IT resources are supporting legacy systems while simultaneously building the modernized replacement
- A project charter and SDLC are established and in active practice
- The environment and foundation for modern applications is nearing completion
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Engage with business units to understand operational workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities
- →Interface with development and IT staff to translate technical requirements
- →Document current-state processes using process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts
- →Facilitate discussions to define future-state processes aligned with organizational goals
Requirements
~1 min read- Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items/user stories
- Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with business priorities
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate requirements
- Develop test plans, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions for functional and user acceptance testing
- Execute functional testing of user stories in Dev/Test environments to validate solution accuracy and readiness
- Document defects, track resolution, and verify fixes
- Coordinate, support, or lead UAT sessions with business stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams
- Communicate project updates, risks, and issues clearly and proactively
- Support change management activities by contributing to training materials and user guidance
- Experience in business analysis, process documentation, or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create clear process diagrams and workflow documentation
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work item management tools
- Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT coordination
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- This is a government contract role; travel expenses are not reimbursed per state purchasing regulations
- Candidates should be comfortable with a hybrid cadence including required in-person meetings as needed
