Tech Partners is recruiting on behalf of a respected Tulsa healthcare organization seeking a Database Administrator (SQL & Epic EHR) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced database professional with healthcare industry experience who enjoys supporting critical applications, optimizing database performance, and ensuring the integrity and security of healthcare data.
The selected candidate will support approximately 200 healthcare applications and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing SQL database environments that support patient care and business operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, implement, and maintain SQL database structures and configurations.
- →Analyze business and system requirements to develop effective database solutions.
- →Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning and configuration improvements.
- →Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- →Maintain and enhance SQL code, stored procedures, and database functionality.
- →Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- →Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, and compliance best practices.
- →Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
- →Partner with business users and healthcare application teams to identify improvements and resolve database challenges.
- →Assist with audits and ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements.
- →Evaluate capacity planning and future database growth requirements.
- →Participate in project work that may occasionally require evening or weekend support.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of SQL Database Administration experience.
- Experience supporting databases in a healthcare environment.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (SQL) certification.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SQL Server administration
- Database performance tuning
- Backup and recovery processes
- Security and access management
- Database troubleshooting and support
- Experience with Epic EHR.
- Experience supporting large-scale healthcare application environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.
This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must reside in an approved work state.
Restricted States: Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington.
