PeopleSoft Financials Lead - Contract

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month contract (40 hours/week)
Start Date: Targeting July 1

We're working with a respected public-sector client in Oklahoma City to bring on an experienced PeopleSoft Financials professional to support a major Phase II rollout across multiple agencies.

This role is focused on project delivery, implementation oversight, and functional leadership rather than hands-on development. You'll play a key role in guiding agencies through the adoption, configuration, and stabilization of PeopleSoft Financials.

• →Serve as a core team member supporting PeopleSoft Financials implementations
• →Provide functional leadership and oversight across multiple agencies
• →Support rollout of key modules, with emphasis on:
  • →Accounts Payable
  • →Travel & Expense
• →Collaborate with:
  • →Business Analysts
  • →System Integrators
  • →Technical teams
  • →Agency stakeholders
• →Lead or support:
  • →Fit/gap analysis
  • →Workflow design and optimization
  • →Testing strategy (UAT, upgrades, patches)
  • →Production support and issue resolution
• →Ensure consistency with enterprise/statewide configurations and accounting practices
• →Identify risks and escalate issues to leadership proactively
• →Contribute to:
  • →Test scripts and validation
  • →Training materials and documentation
  • →SOPs and process improvements

• Strong experience with PeopleSoft Financials 9.2
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or large-scale upgrades
• Broad exposure to Financials modules, including:
  • AP, T&E, GL
  • AR/Billing
  • Asset Management
  • Projects / Grants / Contracts
• Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical direction
• Strong communication skills across both business and technical teams
• Experience supporting testing cycles and production environments

• Public sector or government project experience
• Familiarity with state accounting practices
• Experience with:
  • PeopleSoft PUM upgrades
  • PeopleSoft Test Framework
• General familiarity with PeopleSoft technical tools (not hands-on heavy):
  • SQL, BI Publisher, PeopleTools

• Smooth and efficient rollout of Financials modules across agencies
• Strong stakeholder alignment and communication
• Well-documented processes, training, and testing artifacts
• Proactive risk identification and resolution

• Hybrid role based in Oklahoma City (onsite presence required)
