Software Engineer I

We're partnering with a leading engineering and simulation technology organization seeking a Software Engineer I to join its growing development team in Tulsa. • →Collaborate with systems, software, and project engineers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
• →Participate in software requirements definition, decomposition, and design activities.
• →Analyze software and hardware interface requirements.
• →Develop, test, and maintain software applications for simulation and training systems.
• →Write software in C, C++, Fortran, and other programming languages as required.
• →Work in Linux-based development environments.
• →Perform software integration, implementation, verification, and acceptance testing.
• →Troubleshoot software issues and identify effective solutions.
• →Support installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of systems at customer locations.
• →Work closely with software, hardware, manufacturing, and program management teams throughout project execution.
• →Prepare technical documentation, specifications, reports, source code, and test procedures.
• →Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout project development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience or academic exposure to software design, development, debugging, and testing.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with C/C++ development.
• Exposure to Python, C#, Fortran, Ada, or other programming languages.
• Experience using Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git or Subversion.
• Understanding of networking concepts and system integration.
• Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving simulation, modeling, or engineering software development.
• Experience with software development environments and tools.

• Approximately 25% travel.
• Travel throughout the United States with occasional international travel.
• Opportunities to support customer installations, acceptance testing, and training activities.
• Travel may range from several days to multiple weeks and may occasionally include weekends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport may be required.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
