  • Update and maintain Capella operational and functional architecture models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 9 to 14 years of relevant engineering experience in systems engineering, satellite communications, telecommunications, aerospace, networking, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting complex multidisciplinary product-development activities across requirements, design, integration, verification, and delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering, requirements allocation, traceability, verification, and compliance management.
  • Knowledge of low earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications and User Terminal subsystems, including antennas, RF equipment, modems, waveform processing, networking, and software.
  • Ability to convert customer, contractual, operational, and technical needs into clear, testable requirements.
  • Experience with Jama, DOORS, Capella, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, presentation, and meeting-facilitation skills.
  • Works independently on complex assignments with limited supervision.
  • Makes technical recommendations related to requirements quality, traceability, verification, compliance, and issue resolution.
  • Escalates decisions with significant architectural, contractual, cost, or schedule impacts.
  • May lead focused work packages or reviews and guide less experienced engineers; normally has no direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Hybrid office environment based in Ottawa, with regular virtual and in-person engineering meetings.
  • Work may include activities in laboratories, integration facilities, customer sites, and supplier facilities.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for workshops, reviews, integration, demonstrations, and customer or supplier engagements.
  • Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to support tests or collaborate across time zones.
