Gastroenterology- Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University has an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Gastroenterologist to join a nationally recognized academic gastroenterology program with a rich history of excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Flexible opportunities exist to support our growing IBD program on a full-time, part-time, or as needed basis for individuals with a passion for delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to patients with complex inflammatory bowel diseases. Clinical opportunities are available across multiple Temple sites, with the opportunity to help expand and shape the growth of the IBD program across the Temple Health system.

• Academic Mission: Join a faculty committed to excellence in education, mentorship, and scholarly activity while working collaboratively within a diverse, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Comprehensive Care: Provide specialized care for patients with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other complex inflammatory bowel disorders through a growing, patient-centered program.
• Multidisciplinary Care: Collaborate closely with colorectal surgery, pathology, radiology, nutrition, advanced endoscopy, and other specialists to provide coordinated, evidence-based care. Benefit from a dedicated IBD infusion center, home infusion services, and an experienced multidisciplinary team that includes a dedicated IBD pharmacist and dietitian.
• Advanced Capabilities: Access to state-of-the-art Temple Digestive Disease Center, offering cutting-edge technologies and advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures (e.g., POEM, deep enteroscopy).
• Training Program: Three-year fellowship in gastroenterology with broad clinical exposure, advanced procedures, and robust research opportunities guided by faculty.
• Program Growth: Play a key role in expanding and strengthening Temple Health’s IBD program across the health system while helping increase access to specialized IBD care throughout the Philadelphia region.

• MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in Inflammatory Bowel Disease preferred
• Licensed to practice in PA
• Proficient in routine endoscopic procedures
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
