Surgery- Plastic & Reconstructive

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Temple Health is seeking a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join its growing academic program. The successful candidate will have comprehensive training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and a strong interest in developing a career in an academic, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate will have clinical expertise across the spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, with particular interest and/or experience in complex reconstruction, microsurgery, and the management of patients requiring advanced reconstructive procedures. Candidates with experience in breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, limb salvage, trauma reconstruction, hand surgery, craniofacial surgery, or other areas of reconstructive surgery are encouraged to apply.  Microsurgical expertise is highly desirable. Experience or specialized expertise in breast reconstruction and/or gender-affirming/gender surgery would be considered a particular plus.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career surgeon to develop a successful clinical and academic career with the mentorship and support of experienced faculty. The successful candidate will participate in the clinical care of plastic surgery patients, contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and have opportunities to develop a focused area of clinical and academic expertise. The candidate will work with Plastic Surgery residents in training and be part of the teaching faculty with the expectation of participating in educational activities.

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program.
• Credentials that will support a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic development.
