Job Summary

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida is seeking individuals, in the absence of full-time instructors, to monitor groups of students in an assigned technical college program, record attendance, direct group activities as assigned, provide instructional support to students, and distribute and collect daily assignments.

Knowledge of the program/industry is preferred but not required; instructors will be placed on a Substitute Instructor list and will be called as needed. Substitutes may request to serve in specific programs or will be asked to serve in programs where they have similar experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Evidence of two (2) years’ work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Certificate or Diploma
Substitute teaching experience is preferred

Ability to manage a classroom environment with both post-secondary and high school students
Good character, mature attitude, and stable personality
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to be flexible and adapt plans to specific training programs
