We are currently seeking a Staff Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to join our team in Oakland, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career environmental professional to build hands on consulting experience while supporting a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout California

You will work closely with experienced project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers while gaining exposure to field investigations, environmental sampling, data evaluation, and technical reporting. The role will include a mix of field and office responsibilities with opportunities to take on increasing technical and project responsibilities as you grow with the team.

· Support environmental site investigations, including soil, groundwater, soil vapor, surface water, and sediment sampling.

· Assist with the installation and monitoring of groundwater and soil vapor wells under the direction of experienced staff.

· Collect and document detailed field data, including geological and environmental observations, using field logs and tablet based tools.

· Support environmental investigation and remediation activities at a variety of project sites throughout California.

· Participate in the preparation of site specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and follow established safety protocols during field activities.

· Coordinate with subcontractors, including drillers, laboratories, utility locators, and other field service providers.

· Assist with the organization, review, and evaluation of environmental data, including hydrogeologic and analytical laboratory results.

· Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, figures, tables, and other project deliverables.

· Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, quality work, teamwork, and continued professional development.

· Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Engineering, or a related field required.

· 1 to 2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, geology, engineering, or a related environmental field.

· Previous experience supporting environmental field investigations, sampling, or remediation projects preferred.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

· Comfortable performing outdoor fieldwork in various weather conditions and handling the physical demands associated with field activities, including occasional long field days.

· Detail oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and problem solving skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and general comfort working with technical data and documentation.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative project team.

Nice to Have

· OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred, or willingness to obtain prior to performing applicable fieldwork.

· CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
