Requirements

Medical records technician certification, such as the Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS).
Familiarity with DOD Medical Readiness Systems and Policies (MEDPROS, MEDCHART, eCase, AHLTA / MHS GENESIS).
Ability to execute processes in strict compliance with:
- Army Medical Readiness Regulations (AR 40-501 – Standards of Medical Fitness; AR 40-502 – Medical Readiness; AR 40-66 – Medical Record Administration and Healthcare Documentation; AR 40-35 – Health Hazard Assessment Program).
- Privacy & Information Protection Laws (HIPAA).
- Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) / Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) processes.
