About the Opportunity
A well-established, third-generation family-owned precision manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Tube Laser Operator to join its Rochester-area team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that successful laser operation goes beyond simply loading material and pushing a button. You’ll be responsible for machine setup, first-piece production, inspection approval, and running production while maintaining quality and efficiency.
The company operates a highly integrated manufacturing environment serving industries such as medical, automotive, telecommunications, electronics, transportation, and other specialized markets.
What You’ll Do
- Operate tube laser equipment in a production environment.
- Set up machines and prepare jobs for production.
- Complete first-piece setups and obtain inspection approval.
- Run production according to job requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with the CNC programming team, which provides machine programs.
- Adjust between setup and production responsibilities depending on the job.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
- Help train new associates once fully established in the role.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous tube laser operating experience.
- Strong setup and first-piece experience.
- Experience working in precision manufacturing, sheet metal, or a similar production environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Reliable and consistent work history.
- Willingness to work overtime or occasional weekends based on business needs.
A Plus
- BLM tube laser experience
- Flat laser experience
- Plex experience

- PPO and HMO health insurance options
- Medical coverage beginning the first of the month after 30 days
- 401(k) available upon hire
- 50% 401(k) match on each dollar contributed, up to 6%
- Two weeks accrued PTO
- Additional sick/PTO days
- 8 paid holidays
- 5% profit-sharing opportunity
- Overtime opportunities based on business needs
Why Join This Team
This is an opportunity to join a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing company where quality, teamwork, and accountability matter. You’ll have the chance to work with specialized equipment, build on your technical skills, and become an important part of the production team.
For an experienced Tube Laser Operator, this role offers hands-on responsibility, a stable manufacturing environment, competitive hourly pay, and a path toward greater responsibility as your expertise grows.
