The Doe Run Company is currently seeking a General Helper at our SEMO Port to off-load concentrates safely and efficiently to ensure delivery of concentrate to Doe Run customers. This dayshift position will be located at Scott City, MO. 

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication skills

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct and document inspections of concentrate delivery trucks to ensure the safety of the off-loading process.
• Wash trucks in compliance with Company policy.
• Complete the required documentation and conduct a final inspection of the Trucks Transporting Concentrate Inspection form.
• Communicate with drivers and contractors regarding procedures and direct drivers through the off-loading process.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the facility to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned. 

• Regularly works near moving parts, mechanical parts, exposed to wet, humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, exposed to loud noises.
• Occasionally exposed to vibration.
• Regularly requires hearing, grasping, standing, walking, reaching with hands/arms, climbing or balancing, and repetitive movement.
• Frequently requires stooping and kneeling.
• Occasionally requires sitting, talking, and pushing.
• Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision; the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Requires concentrated attention.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Daily lifting less than 40% of the shift.
