This opportunity is for career driven students interested in building property maintenance.  In this co-op opportunity you will be responsible for the completion of building maintenance duties as required by service requests submitted by all appropriate tenants and High Properties.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a high school or college student, at least 16 years of age
• Currently enrolled in electrical, general carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance through LCCTC
• The ability to learn and use tools, prints and measuring instruments necessary
• Team-player attitude and strong attention-to-detail

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Fundamental job requirements which an individual must be able to perform in order to accomplish the basic duties of the job.

• Work with the Commercial Facilities Lead to expedite service orders in a timely and courteous manner. Complete all necessary paperwork
• Respond to calls from work order system for repairs and make repairs
• Assist with the BEST lock system used on all High properties. From the computer software program, to creating and building cores, installing cylinders, and cutting keys
• Maintain records on all types of building items, so that replacement parts or fixtures can be ordered expeditiously.
• Assist with any electrical/Plumbing changes and additions for buildings as required/requested
• Understand current operating knowledge of building elevators
• Assist with any adjustments to doors and locks on buildings in the High portfolio, install closers as needed.
• Report on roof leaks and notify the Commercial Facilities Lead.
• Assist and replace damaged ceiling tiles in buildings, as needed.
• Assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of all fountains (concrete and pond).
