Reports To
- The candidate shall report to Group Director of Learning & Development and will have a dotted operational reporting line to the Resorts General Manager
Key Duties/Responsibilities
As a Assistant Learning and Development Manager you are responsible in managing the hotels training function to promote the desired learning culture. The role involves developing and conducting training courses as well as facilitating training sessions/workshops based on operational requirements and will include key responsibilities such as:
- Coordinate with the requirement of office supplies and team members development materials
- Update and maintain the Resorts L&D board/E-board
- Consult with the Group Director Learning & Development for the co-ordination of team members development course materials
- Co-ordinate with the Human Resources Department to ensure all team members are shown around for orientation and receive information needed
- Lead learning and development function and liaise with Group Director of L&D in identifying the businesss developmental needs ensuring that there is consistency with core competencies and goals
- Actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for enhancing performance, and recognizing outstanding performance
- Responsible for the creation, implementation, and improvement of Nautilus training modules
- Ensure that the L&D programs and initiatives are consistent with the business overall strategies, objectives, and needs
- Liaises with other HODs and Managers ensuring proper execution of ongoing departmental training programs to achieve the desired results and ultimately improve the overall performance
- Ensure that the leadership and the respective teams of all departments within the Resort are involved in each training program
