Coordinator - Rail - Melbourne Container Park - Oceania - APAC

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity for a Rail Coordinator to join our growing team!

This role will be responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing rail customer requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner, ensuring smooth operational flow and effective communication across all stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

• Liaise with ARTC & Rail Operators to coordinate rail movements

• Act as a key point of contact for rail customers, providing timely updates, resolving issues, and maintaining strong working relationships

• Assist with setting up trains for container delivery including following load plans

• Book trains in and out of operating system

• Compile consist and sending to rail customers in a timely manner

• Ensure all containers are as per customer requests prior to train departure

• Check and sight stock levels for upcoming trains

• Assist with Quarantine

• Manage invoicing, including raising purchase requisitions

• Plan rail load/unload according to customer requirements

• Organise transport to other empty parks

• Assist with billing

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Rail Industry Safety Induction / Track Safety Awareness advantageous 

• Current Drivers Licence

• Rail or transport/logistics coordination experience

• Knowledge of container park layout

• Proficient in the use of MS Excel

• Customer service experience
