About the Role
~1 min read- Prepare, review, and submit electronic import, export, and transit declarations to customs authorities
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Maintain and update customs files, ensuring all required records are properly stored and accessible
- Monitor transit and export processes to confirm timely clearance and proof of goods leaving the EU
- Review and maintain product and shipment data in systems to support bonded warehouse operations
- Identify discrepancies in shipment or customs data and update records accordingly
- Support periodic declarations and follow up on outstanding or delayed clearances with relevant parties
- Contribute to internal audits and compliance checks, documenting findings clearly
- Collaborate with customs authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvements
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Diploma or degree in customs (Declarant) is strongly preferred, along with relevant, demonstrable experience in a customs-related role.
- →Solid knowledge of EU and national customs regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements
- →Experience preparing and processing customs declarations in a digital environment
- →Familiarity with customs systems and standard office tools for documentation and reporting
- →Clear communication skills for working with internal teams, authorities, and external partners
- →Ability to solve problems in a practical and timely way while maintaining compliance
- →Good command of English (written and spoken)
