Director Contract Logistics -Czechia

We are actively looking for an exceptional individual to head up our contract logistics operations in Czechia. This is an important in one of our fastest growing entities within the European DP World region. You will be the most senior operational lead for Czechia within the contract logistics pillar.

You will be responsible for all of the company's operations aspects, ensuring that the process are run efficiently and effectively. You will be coordinating all of the departments and ensure effective operational and financial results are achieved.

You will be managing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Working with the site managers and senior leaders you will make sure that all of the operations are running smoothly and issues are either dealt with or escalated to the correct team. Externally you will be liaising with customers to make sure that they any service issues are dealt with and changes to sites are implement swiftly and on time.

You will manage the annual budget and make sure that financial and operational targets are met. You will also manage your own senior team who will predominantly be based at the sites, bringing them together on a regular basis to make sure that they are all working together as effectively as possible.

You will also work with the bids and tenders team to make sure that you support on any country specific bids adopting the mindset of winning all business. You will also play a role with the business development team helping them recognise opportunities that would be beneficial for DP World.

So, who are we looking for?

Key skills and experience include:

• Previous experience of operational management of multiple manufacturing sites or logistics warehouses
• Experience of working within logistics and supply chain
• Previously developed long term strategic plans
• Budgeting and supervisory experience
• Strong attention to detail and a passion to deliver high quality work
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects at one time
• Previous leadership experience at country level and the ability to inspire and coach a leadership team
• Able to travel extensively within Czechia.
