~1 min readWe are looking for an experienced professional to oversee and ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and regulations across the organization. This role involves developing and maintaining EHS systems, representing the company during audits and internal meetings, inspecting facilities and equipment for compliance, managing incident investigations and risk assessments, and providing guidance to employees and staff representatives. The ultimate goal is to foster a safe and compliant work environment through effective safety procedures, continuous improvement, and employee education.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with current legislation.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of findings.
- Monitor and update EHS policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and best practices.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Lead and support incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on EHS and compliance matters.
- Provide technical guidance and support to EHS coordinators and prevention officers.
- Represent the company in internal and external EHS meetings, presenting data and tracking action plans.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and third-party service providers.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in safety science (HVK/ISM) or medium-level qualification (MVK).
- →Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws, EHS norms, and relevant regulations.
- →Experience with internal and external audits (ISO45001, ISO14001) and compliance standards.
- →Familiarity with hazardous substances and dangerous goods regulations (ADR, PGS15, PGS37-2).
- →Certification in X-Ray technology (TMS) and emergency response leadership (Head BHV).
- →Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an EHS role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- →Proficiency in MS Office and EHS tools, with strong analytical and documentation skills.
- →Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, including customers.
- →English proficiency at B2 level or higher; additional language skills are a plus.
- →Understanding of international health and safety standards (OSHA, ISO) and environmental regulations (DOT, EPA).
