HR Manager

We are actively looking for a HR Manager to manage a new DP World warehouse in Topolcany in Slovakia. This role will be on site full time and you will be the senior HR leader for Slovakia which includes our Nitra site.

You will be managing a small team and will be the central point of contact for any people issues during the initial ramp up of the warehouse and subsequent day to day HR operations of the plant. You will be part of the senior management team of the location and will be reporting to the Head of HR for Eastern Europe with a dotted line to the site manager.

You will manage the long term strategic HR plans for the location as well as overseeing HR plans for Slovakia. Your role in the plant will include managing the employment contracts, labour documents as well as making sure that you are completing key necessary reports for local, regional global purposes.

You will also be managing the annual salary budget making sure that it is kept within the overall budget providing key market information to the site manager. There will be relationships with local agencies and you will be managing the local relationships making sure any issues are resolved early.

As this is a good sized site you will be developing the onboarding process and creating the staffing plan to make sure it caters for increases or decreases in business. Any long term planned changes to staffing levels will be communicated and managed with the regional HR teams to make sure that disruption is kept to a minimum.

Key skills and experience include:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
• Experience of working in a large plant with both blue collar and white collar populations
• Experience of managing and leading a small HR function
• A strong understanding of managing multiple sites
• Previously worked in a large multinational corporate organisation
• Good experience of strategic and operational HR management
• A good understanding of local labour law
