About the Role

DP World is seeking a proactive, operationally focused HSSE Business Partner to support our Western Australia logistics operations. In this role, you will partner closely with site leaders across our terminal, warehousing, transport and operations to strengthen safety outcomes, embed a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Additionally, you will translate corporate safety policies into practical frontline solutions, provide expert guidance on risk management and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both safety performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HSSE advisor providing guidance to operational leaders on serious, high-potential and notifiable incidents
  • Partner with line management to proactively manage risk and embed safe work practices
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE legislation, standards and policies, translating them into practical solutions
  • Implement and maintain HSSE systems aligned with ISO 14001, 45001 and 28000
  • Lead incident investigations, regulatory reporting, return-to-work processes and support audits
  • Analyse HSSE data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Support environmental initiatives (including decarbonisation, NGER, NPI) and coach teams on HSSE best practices to improve capability and performance

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree qualification in Health, Safety & Environment (desirable)
  • 5+ years’ HSE/safety advisory experience, ideally in logistics or warehousing
  • Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, HVNL and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in incident investigations, audits, risk management and reporting
  • Knowledge of HSE systems and compliance frameworks
  • Exposure to Safety Act and Dangerous Goods legislation (desirable)
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills with a practical approach
