About the Role

As a Warehouse Trainer (known locally as Training Coordinator), you will be responsible for managing, developing and delivering training activities across our warehousing operation, ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform at their best. You will work closely with operational teams to deliver inductions, identify training needs, develop engaging learning materials, coordinate training delivery, and measure the effectiveness of programmes to support business performance and continuous improvement.

  • Manage and deliver all training requirements across the Hinckley operation.

  • Design, implement and deliver floor-based training plans that support onboarding, new business activities, operational requirements, and employee development.

  • Create engaging learning content and training programmes using instructional design principles.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Partner with operational stakeholders to identify current and future training needs.

  • Maintain accurate and transparent records of all training activities and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor and report on training progress, completion rates, and key performance indicators.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements to maximise learning outcomes.

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and safety by introducing innovative approaches to learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Experience coordinating, planning, and delivering training programmes within an operational environment both classroom and ‘on the job’.

  • Knowledge of instructional design and learning development methodologies.

  • Experience creating structured training plans to support business and employee development objectives.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience maintaining training records and reporting on learning activities and outcomes.

  • Ability to build effective partnerships with operational teams and stakeholders.

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in training, learning and development, education, or a related field.

  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the business.

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills to support learner development.

  • Skilled at identifying training needs and translating them into practical learning solutions.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and operational demands.

  • Confident communicator with a good standard of written and spoken English, along with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
