IT Systems Administrator - Detroit Area

• →Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for production and office staff.
• →Document configurations, procedures, and recurring issues for the IT team.
• →Coordinate with vendors on equipment repair, licensing, and support tickets.
• →Maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment across plant and office sites.
• →Monitor system performance and resolve outages, slowdowns, and connectivity issues.
• →Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests in directory and business systems.
• →Apply security patches and antivirus updates and follow backup and recovery procedures.
• →Support manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, and shop floor data collection tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems methodically.
• Strong documentation and clear verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasional off-shift hours during production emergencies.
• Three or more years of hands-on IT systems administration experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and common networking protocols.
• Experience supporting users in a plant or industrial environment.

• Experience with ERP or MES platforms used in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or similar tools for automation.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft associate credentials.
• Exposure to OT network segmentation and industrial control system security.
