Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- →Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and systems.
- →Develop and implement calibration procedures and protocols.
- →Analyze measurement data and generate calibration reports.
- →Maintain accurate records of all calibration activities.
- →Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
- →Provide technical support and training to other technicians on metrology best practices.
Requirements
~1 min read- Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing dimensional inspection and calibration.
- Proficient in operating and programming CMMs, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection and measurement.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with calibration software and maintaining calibration records.
- Experience with automated measurement systems (e.g., CMM programming, vision systems).
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Calibration experience for a variety of metrology equipment.
- Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, Minitab).
