Metrology Technician - Newaygo Area

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled Metrology Technicians. • →Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
• →Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• →Develop and implement calibration procedures in accordance with industry standards.
• →Maintain detailed records of calibration data and equipment maintenance history.
• →Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analysis.
• →Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on proper use of measuring tools.

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing dimensional inspection and calibration.
• Proficient in the use of various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with calibration software and metrology-specific programming (e.g., PC-DMIS) is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including trigonometry and statistics.

• Experience with automation and robotic metrology systems.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
• Familiarity with programming CMMs using DMIS or other specialized software.
• Demonstrated ability to train junior technicians on metrology best practices.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.
