Packaging Engineer - Fremont Area

• →Designs, develops, and tests packaging for new and existing products.
• →Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
• →Selects appropriate packaging materials and equipment, considering cost, quality, and sustainability.
• →Conducts vendor evaluations and manages supplier relationships for packaging components.
• →Develops and maintains packaging specifications, test methods, and quality standards.
• →Troubleshoots packaging-related issues on the production line and implements corrective actions.
• →Stays current with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology and materials.

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging validation, testing protocols, and quality control
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISTA, FDA)

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• ISTA certification or experience with packaging performance testing.
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
