Payroll Specialist - Battle Creek Area

• →Process bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, including hourly and salaried.
• →Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions in compliance with company policy and federal/state regulations.
• →Reconcile payroll data, prepare journal entries, and assist with general ledger postings related to payroll.
• →Manage timekeeping system data, verifying hours and leave requests for payroll processing.
• →Administer and reconcile employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary deductions.
• →Prepare and submit federal and state payroll tax filings, including W-2s and 1099s.
• →Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and time-off balances.

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance.
• Experience with payroll general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries effectively.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPP certification preferred.
