Payroll Specialist - Ludington Area

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled Payroll Specialists. • →Process bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• →Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
• →Calculate and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• →Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• →Prepare and distribute W-2 forms and other year-end payroll reports.
• →Administer and track employee benefits such as health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, including overtime calculations and prevailing wage.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and payroll journal entries.
