Payroll Specialist - St. Johns Area

• →Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• →Manage timekeeping systems and integrate data for payroll processing, including shift differentials and overtime.
• →Prepare and submit all federal, state, and local payroll tax filings and reports.
• →Administer employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, 401(k), and garnishments.
• →Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• →Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information.
• →Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience processing payroll for a medium to large workforce, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and HRIS systems; experience with timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax compliance and wage and hour laws.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and reconciliation.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
