Payroll Specialist - Walker Area

• →Processes bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• →Manages timecard collection and approval processes, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• →Calculates and remits all payroll-related taxes and withholdings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• →Reconciles payroll accounts and prepares related journal entries.
• →Responds to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and leave balances.
• →Prepares and distributes W-2 forms annually.
• →Administers garnishments, child support orders, and other involuntary deductions.

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and timekeeping systems.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, including FLSA and state-specific mandates.
• Proven ability to accurately calculate and process various pay components, including overtime, bonuses, and shift differentials.
