Payroll Specialist - Zeeland Area

• →Process multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
• →Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• →Reconcile payroll data and prepare related journal entries.
• →Administer timekeeping systems and resolve employee timecard issues.
• →Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 generation.
• →Calculate and process deductions for benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings.
• →Collaborate with HR and finance departments on payroll-related matters.

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state compliance.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes related to payroll.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.
