Press Operator / Setup - Cadillac Area

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled Press Operator / Setups. • →Operate, monitor, and adjust various presses (e.g., punch, brake, forming) according to production schedules and quality standards.
• →Perform complex setups and changeovers, including tooling changes, material loading, and program adjustments, to minimize downtime.
• →Conduct in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues with press equipment to ensure continuous production flow.
• →Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications to determine appropriate press settings and tooling requirements.
• →Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses, such as lubrication and cleaning, and document maintenance activities.
• →Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with preventative maintenance on presses
• Forklift certification or experience
• Familiarity with quality control processes and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Basic computer skills for data entry or operating control panels
