Purchasing Manager - Petoskey Area

• →Review supplier performance and maintain approved vendor lists.
• →Manage the purchasing budget and report cost variances.
• →Coordinate with production and engineering on material needs.
• →Maintain purchasing records and contract documentation.

• →Issue purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
• →Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
• →Resolve supply shortages and late shipments with vendors.

• Knowledge of raw material and component markets.
• Solid spreadsheet and cost analysis skills.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
• Five or more years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and purchase order software.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory practices.
• Contract review and legal terms experience.
• Experience in a high-volume production environment.
• APICS or ISM certification.
• Experience sourcing from overseas suppliers.
