Purchasing Manager - Rockford Area

• →Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• →Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts and terms.
• →Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
• →Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure material availability.
• →Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• →Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents or buyers.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier negotiation
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly as they relate to purchasing and inventory
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• CPIM or CPSM certification preferred

• Additional certifications or training
