Quality Inspector - East Lansing Area

• →Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• →Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• →Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• →Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• →Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• →Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• →Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and quality documentation.

• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or relevant certification (e.g., ASQ CQT) preferred.

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Experience with various inspection tools and methodologies, including CMM, optical comparators, and destructive testing.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and quality management software.
