Quality Inspector - Mattawan Area

• →Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• →Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• →Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of all quality checks.
• →Identify and tag non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
• →Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• →Perform first article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• →Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and inspection plans.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Experience with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
