Quality Inspector - Norton Shores Area

• →Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• →Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• →Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality data.
• →Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• →Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to control plans and sampling procedures.
• →Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• →Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schecharts, and technical documents
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Ability to perform visual inspections and identify cosmetic and functional defects

• ASQ certification (e.g., CQI, CQT)
• Experience with various metrology tools beyond basic handhelds (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
• Ability to interpret and apply GD&T principles
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software
