Quality Inspector - Paw Paw Area

We are partnering with organizations in Paw Paw that are seeking Quality Inspectors. • →Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• →Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM to verify product specifications.
• →Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• →Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating corrective action requests as necessary.
• →Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• →Perform first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and control plans.
• →Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment and ensure all tools are within their calibration cycles.

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality control or manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
• Experience with a variety of measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers)
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software
