Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- →Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
- →Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
- →Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
- →Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
- →Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- →Participate in root cause analysis for defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- →Verify calibration status of inspection equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify non-conformances.
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQI)
- Experience with various metrology tools beyond basic hand tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings with advanced GD&T
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and internal auditing
