Robotics Technician - Detroit Area

We partner with manufacturers across the Detroit area seeking Robotics Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

• →Replace and align end-of-arm tooling, grippers, and weld tips.
• →Log downtime, repairs, and program changes in maintenance records.
• →Support production and maintenance teams during changeovers and line trials.
• →Set up and start up robotic welding and assembly cells at the beginning of each shift.
• →Monitor robot cycles and adjust programs when parts or fixtures change.
• →Perform daily safety checks on robots, guarding, and light curtains.
• →Troubleshoot faults and recover robots after stops or alarms.
• →Teach and touch up points on existing robot programs.

• Experience with common robot brands and teach pendants.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout and machine guarding standards.
• Comfort with basic hand tools, multimeters, and mechanical adjustments.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in robotics, electronics, or mechatronics.
• Two or more years of hands-on experience with industrial robots in a plant setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and robot program code.

• Experience with robotic welding, painting, or machine tending cells.
• Familiarity with PLCs and vision systems.
• Formal robot programming training or manufacturer certification.
• Ability to weld or fabricate simple fixtures.
• Prior work in automotive or Tier 1 supplier manufacturing.
