Shipping & Receiving Lead - Grand Rapids Area

• →Coordinate and oversee daily shipping and receiving operations.
• →Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• →Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• →Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• →Collaborate with production and logistics to optimize material flow and meet deadlines.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies and issues.
• →Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

• 3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and shipping software.
• Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.

• Experience with an ERP system for inventory management and transaction processing
• Forklift certification with experience operating various types of lifts (stand-up, sit-down, reach truck)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for hazardous materials shipping
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on MHE (Material Handling Equipment)
