Staff Accountant - East Lansing Area

We are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking Staff Accountants. • →Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• →Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and intercompany transactions.
• →Process accounts payable invoices and prepare vendor payments.
• →Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation.
• →Analyze manufacturing costs and assist in variance explanations.
• →Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in physical counts.
• →Assist with internal and external audit requests.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with inventory costing and fixed asset management

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• CPA or CMA certification
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros
