Staff Accountant - Grand Haven Area

• →Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• →Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, accruals, and reclassifications.
• →Assist with cost accounting activities, including variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• →Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• →Support the annual financial audit by preparing requested documentation and schedules.
• →Generate various financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure
• Experience with process improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
